Iskandar Puteri, formerly Nusajaya, is home to some of Malaysia's best-known international schools — Marlborough College Malaysia and Raffles American School anchor the EduCity precinct, with Crescendo-HELP and others around Puteri Harbour — and the fees run to the very top of the Johor range. Dreamtime Learning gives Nusajaya and Iskandar Puteri families the same Cambridge IGCSE curriculum, examined by the same board, taught live by qualified teachers, in batches of 10 or fewer — from home, without the international-school invoice.

A typical week for a Nusajaya or Iskandar Puteri homeschool family
Live classes run mornings (Primary 9:10am–1:00pm, Secondary 8:30am–1:05pm MYT), which leaves afternoons free for everything the area offers — swimming and sport at the nearby clubs, a trip to Puteri Harbour or the Medini malls, music, or simply unstructured time at home. For cross-border families, a home-based timetable means the child's school day isn't tied to checkpoint queues or a school coach schedule, and travel back to Singapore for the holidays no longer means a mid-term withdrawal.

Dreamtime Learning Asia is a registered Cambridge examination center. Your child sits real IGCSE and A Level papers, not a locally-branded equivalent — the certificate is recognised for university admission in Malaysia and internationally.
Is homeschooling legal for my Nusajaya or Iskandar Puteri family?
Yes. Under Section 135(1) of the Education Act 1996, Malaysian children aged 6–12 are required to be enrolled in primary school unless the parent obtains an exemption from the State Education Department (JPN), forwarded to the Ministry of Education for approval — a process that typically takes 4–8 weeks and requires a written curriculum plan, which Dreamtime provides as part of enrolment. Secondary-level homeschooling has more flexibility under the same Act. Non-citizen and expatriate families across Nusajaya and Iskandar Puteri, common in this cross-border corridor, are generally not subject to this requirement.
